Agrisol N Range Fertiliser

Foliar applied N fits comfortably within a farming nutrient budget. It is potentially 100% efficient and therefore is potentially 3-10 times more efficient than soil applied Urea. Application rates as low as 20 litres/Ha (7 units of N) are having a similar effect to Urea at 50 kgs/Ha (23 units of N).
Agrisol's Triple N contain 3 forms of Nitrogen, with different release times plus our unique slow release sticking agent,'Agrigel'.
Agrigel is a natural amino acid rich gel that encapsulates and chlates the fertiliser nutrients and trace elements in our fertiliser products. Agrigel holds the nutrients in a moist form on the leaf of the plant for up to 3 days for a controlled, sustained and gentle uptake providing the best possible environment for the absorption of the nutrients into the plant. The plant's gentle uptake of the entrapped fertiliser salts minimizes the chance ofleaf burn and therefore lower rates are possible during application.
All 3 forms of Nitrogen are 'plant available' and it is well documented that plants can absorb Nitrate-N, Ammonium-N and Urea-N through the foliage many times more efficiently than through the roots in the soil environment.
Nitrate-N is the most effective form of Nitrogen for foliar uptake. Ammonium-N is also effective but may cause damage (burning) to the leaf surface when applied at high rates without an effective slow release sticking agent (Agrigel). Urea-N should be considered to be the same as Ammonium-N.
Rainfall (lack of) has a dramatic effect on the efficiency of granular Urea....some 20% or more can be lost (volatilised) after 24 hours without rain.
It is well proven that soil applied granular Urea converts to Ammonium-N over a period of about a week, raising soil pH, which causes some of the applied Urea to voltilise and to be lost as Ammonia gas. The Ammonium-N in the soil then converts to Nitrate-N which lowers soil pH. if not absorbed by the plants, especially in wet soil conditions the Nitrate-N can be leachd down the soil profile, below the plant (pasture) root zone and into streams, rivers and lakes and ground-water aquifers. 'Denitrification' of wet soils can also occur where Nitrate-N in the soil is chemically reduced to nitrous ixide (a greenhouse gas) and lost to the atmosphere. As well as the risk of nitrogen loss from soil applied Urea, high application rates cause depletion of the other growth mutrients (P,K,S etc). This is commonly seen as a 'flat' period of slow growth after excessive Urea application to the soil. Repeated high application rates of Urea to soil can deplete soil organic matter and increase the risk of soil compaction.
In short, with foliar application, the Nitrate-N content will have rapid effect and the Ammonium-N and Urea-N content will have a slower more sustained effect when applied with Agrigel. This sustained release will prolong the plants absorption and utilisation of the N, rather than a big hit of N that may burn the leaf tissue that foliar N is sprayed onto. Rainfall is not required for foliar applied N to be effective. Best application timing is either early morning or evening and where there is adequate leaf surface area to absorb the foliar spray.
